i didn’t think this day would come but apparently i am more tech savvy than i thought. my iphone has been in my possession now for a good 24 hours and in this time i managed to figure out the major phone functions, taped my niece singing an english song (she’s 5 and doesn’t speak english, she is only singing what she understands), download apps, get the facebook and skype app to work on the phone and play monopoly and angry birds on the phone.
i did all this without someone explaining to me what to do. the only thing i read was how to get the apps but that was it. for some reason i thought it was all going to be a lot more complicated but it works so intuitively i can’t help but think i am smart
i know there’s a wordpress app out there so i’ll probably try that as well, just for kicks.
the phone has a great quality for playing music and i am excited every time i turn on the ipod app because i can now play music without having to turn on my mac book pro (that always needs to be plugged into an outlet because the battery died way back and apple refused to repair it – ugh, inconvenient!). i’ll probably get one of those speaker radio things that basically turn the phone into a stereo. oooooh, this is exciting! maybe you can’t understand why i am so excited but the last mp3 player i owned died in 2004 or so. my cd player/stereo died in 2006. since then my music came from my laptop. if that wasn’t turned on there was no music. i did not have a radio, just my voice to entertain the masses.
so having this phone is more than just owning a new phone. this is a phone that allows me to follow text message conversations. i can track what i sent out. i can save a lot more info to a person than just their name and phone number. i can play music, i can play games, i can go online wherever i want to….wow…plenty of new things to try
