confessions vol. 2

while i’m at confessions i may just blurt out the next one: i have the tendency to forget to lock doors. not just any doors, those in public restrooms.

there is no real pattern that i can detect on when i forget to lock the door…it just happens. thankfully so far no one has walked in on me but there have been close calls ;-)

my name is franzi and i forget to lock the doors in public restrooms.

  1. There is no need to lock them in the U.S.Anyways – you already see everything through this giant gap (?)…. Never understood that in this prudish country;)
I don’t lock the doors if I am in a really closed one, no gap at all, and the lock looks odd – then I rather get caught than being trapped;)

    • i know, it’s not really worth locking the “gap-loo’s”. but at work it could get a little embarrassing…thankfully so far no incident ;-) ~ franzi

  2. Since we never had bathroom door jeys at home, I often forget to lock bathrooms at other people’s houses. Luckily, there hasn’t been an embarrassing moment…

Just in the US, at my HF’s house, I always locked the bathroom. But then again, I often went in there during the day just to get 2 minutes of peace and quiet. So I had to lock it. My host child stayed in front of the door anyway and if it took me too long, he’d start complaining xD

    • hahaha, i had that situation once when babysitting. me on the loo and the kid in front of the door yelling for me. ;-)

i never lock the bathroom door at home either but i find it funny if i have a guest over and they lock the door – it’s just me and that person in the apartment so who is going to interrupt???? it’s an amusing habit that i never quite understood (and that none of the door-lockers were able to explain to me) :-) ~ franzi
