i’m once again packing my bags for a work trip. it’s a quick and dirty one, most of my time will be spent on the train actually. this time i’ll be in munich, a city i have not been to before. for some reason i never had much inclination to travel to bavaria. hence, it’s unknown territory for me.
i was at a wedding in bavaria last september, that was right before the electrical unit in my apartment decided to go up in smoke. that town was about an hour away from munich and that’s as close as i got to the city.
so tomorrow will be the day that the capital of oktoberfest and weisswurst and weissbier will be discovered by me. in the few minutes that i will have in between arriving, finding my hotel, and making it to the fair venue. i already know that i will have trouble understanding the people there so in a way it’s like going to a foreign country, hahaha.

Ich hab 20 Jahre in Bayern gelebt und finde München immer noch seltsam. Ich war Mittwoch bis Freitag da und war ehrlich gesagt auch froh als ich wieder weg war. Aber contrary to popular belief sind wir Bayern fähig Deutsch zu sprechen, das man versteht.
