this book was suggested to me by my special someone. he is into motorcycles and i love to be on the road with him together (actually, him or not, i just love being on the road). i do not have my motorcycle license (yet) but that didn’t stop me from indulging in a book that is all about a woman who rode her motorcycle all 20,000 miles from alaska to the most southern tip of south america.
this book is not so much about technical stuff and motorcycle jargon. it really is about a woman with limited (let’s say barely existing) spanish skills who sets out to do the ride of her life. she has a fun way to write about her struggles on the road and how each country she visits is different from the others. who knew that all those countries in south america are indeed distinguishable?! (sorry if i am offending anyone but i wasn’t aware of that.)
i enjoyed following lois along her travels and her book is motivating to travel also – no matter the means, just be out there and get going.
if the travel bug has bit you or you want to get bitten go read lois’ book!
