my personal lesson learned today: just because a perfume is expensive it does not mean it actually smells well and it also does not mean it will smell nice on you.
i guess you can already tell how i came to this conclusion….
i saw the dior addict perfume in a store costing 125 euro. my immediate reaction was gee, that’s expensive. and the second reaction was “let’s spritz some on myself”.
mistake. big smelly mistake.
that stuff does not smell expensive, it smells horrible! not at all like a perfume for a woman. i actually used the addict one on one arm and the j’adore d’or on the other. while the latter slowly got better the former stank, and stank, and stank….it still smells bad, hours later.
so i guess for lasting smell both perfumes are great….
my lesson learned is that just it’s expensive does not mean it’s good. and i really feel like i should stick to my usual price tag. good thing you cannot smell through the internet.
