1-Dead Run – P. J. Tracy
another one of the monkeewrench series. gotta love it. this time the focus is on the ladies and that adds a nice touch to the otherwise gino & magozzi focussed stories.
2-Snow Blind – P. J. Tracy
back in the snow. captivating story with a twisting end to it. very different from the one above.
3-Born on a blue day – Daniel Tammet
a fantastic book written by an autistic savant about his story. it is especially captivating because he describes very detailed how his autism influences his life.
4-Stiff – Mary Roach
if you’re curious to find out what can happen to your body after you die, this is the book for you. organ donation, body farm, cremation…it’s all in there. and it’s a funny read as well!
5-Liebesbriefe grosser Maenner
this book comprises love letters from known and less known men to their love. it is a wonderful compilation of love letters through the centuries and worth a read if you’re a female. there’s an english version available also.
6-Undomestic Godess – Sophie Kinsella
girls have to love sophie’s books. this one is no different. a love story about a lawyer who breaks out to find out what she wants in life
7-The Echo Maker – Richard Powers
a guy loses part of his memory after a car accident and for a year he tries to find out what really happened the night of his accident. the story doesn’t unravel until the last pages which makes for a captivating read
8-Look Again – Lisa Scottoline
this is a real page turner and if i had had the time i would have finished the book in a day. the storyline is captivating and has two very surprising turns that i did not see coming. read this!
9-Sex, Murder and a Double Latte – Kyra Davis
the title says it all, this book is about a sexy hunk and a girl who’s all for him, weird murders, and starbucks. definitely chick-lit but also suitable for guys who are in it for the laughs.
10-The Lovely Bones – Alice Sebold
written from the perspective of a little girl watching over her family from heaven, this book captivates the reader on a very emotional level. the book deserves every praise.
11-Shoot to Thrill – P.J. Tracy
more monkeewrench, however less of the original story line. i did like the crime plot though.
12-Stumbling upon happiness – Daniel Gilbert
psychological insight into why we are striving to be happy and what being happy actually means.
13-The other hand – Chris Cleave
the story of two women. captivating and really worth the read.
books i read in 2010
