i have been a paper pusher these past days. and let me tell you, that is quite dangerous!  have major paper cuts on both index fingers. it hurt, i looked stupid with the bandaids (that i needed because geez, i was bleeding!), and i couldn’t stop laughing about it because all i could think of is how that insurance person about 8 months ago told me that office jobs are lowest in risk and thus you pay a lower insurance fee. i totally see his point. one of my colleagues pointed out that apparently, i was better at delegating and not made for physical labor. lol 

i guess that’s the price you pay for pushing paper. 

some observant readers have noticed that i have had my two dates. yep, they were right. date number one indeed turned out to be like my little brother. we are very similar and though that made for a great conversation, it didn’t help on the chemistry front. 

date number two, on monday, was…well, let’s be diplomatic, interesting. he is very shy. the kind of shy that you don’t question why he is on an online dating site. again, we had a great conversation, but he was really reserved and actually said he was worried i was some career chick. he got that impression after googling me (still don’t know how he found out my full name) and finding me listed right under the school’s executive body.

in all, there were many smaller things he mentioned that i wondered if he could be a potential match. i’m someone who wouldn’t mind moving for the right job (and i am talking moving internationally). he said, he is happy to be back in town and aims at staying here indefinitely. mh…

he could be someone to go to the opera with and stuff because he definitely is interested in arts and culture. 

i’ve been talking on the phone with the far-away-guy. that downside is already clear – the distance. i will certainly keep you posted on any new happenings!

tomorrow is yet another day off. yeah! sleeping in, sitting in the sun (without sunburn of course), and cleaning because a friend is coming to visit on the weekend. friday and the weekend will be terrible busy with work because we have a huge soccer competition at school, and alumni will be present as well as some prospective students. so when i’m not babysitting for the newbies, i’m dealing with the oldies. quite a mixture but i hope it will be as much fun as i think it will be. 

oh, i need a new haircut. any ideas? what’s in fashion right now?  have no clue.
