seriously. the service people who came by to exchange the water counter drive me nuts. i thought they are exchanging both counters (cold water and warm water) for those wireless things so that no one has to come into the apartment to get the stats. oh i was wrong, silly female me. they came to exchange the warm water counter only. the one that was exchanged just last spring. exactly the one that just 2 weeks ago provoked the remark “oh, that’s a brand new one” by one of the service folks.
so the two guys arrive, look at the water counter and i was already suspicious that they only had one box with them. that’s when they told me they are only exchanging the warm water counter. i asked why, they said they only had the order for that counter, and not the cold water one. a moment after that the one guy remarked that “this counter does not need to be changed”. the other dude said “we have the order, we exchange”.
ok, i get that. they are hired to do something so they have to do this. but each time they show up to do ONE thing, i pay part of it in my utilities bill. and i am getting fed up with this. why can’t the orders be placed in a way that everything is being completed in one attempt? or at least both water counters at the same time and the heating separately. i don’t get it. really, i don’t. can’t anyone make this stop or show them some good old german organization???
reason i’m too busy to be mad is that i am going on vacation. in exactly an hour my train to berlin leaves to take me to the airport.
yay to vacation. i’ll be back next week

they said they will be back and i guess they will come faster than anticipated. i saw this morning that i had a missed call on my cell. so i called back. it was the heating counter switching people trying to set up a new appointment to switch the water counter to one of those wireless things as well.
the guy was like, yeah, we are planning to come back, how about this thursday? see, on thursday, i’m going on vacation so i told them they would have to come early and be on time because i’ll be leaving when i have to. so they’ll stop by on thursday at 7:30 a.m. – yay, i guess?

if you feel like going to italy on vacation and want to go a …. well, special place, then maybe the one i will tell you about is. a blogger that i follow (now that sounds like stalking but it’s not, i just read her blog) went to italy recently and somehow ended up in this cave where they hang dead people. they put the bodies, all dressed up and stuff, on the walls. and then they just hang there waiting to mummify.
yeah, i know, totally creepy. they don’t allow you to take pictures, but she took them anyways (tourists…) and she posted them on her blog. so when you follow the link, be warned that it is pretty graphic. but i wouldn’t have believed it without the pictures. death still freaks me out, but this is more like those gunter van hagens shows.
so here’s your christmas scare for the day, i warned you! link to the dead
